For shopping fans too the Klostergärten are ideally located: just a few minutes’ walk take you to lively Alexanderplatz with its numerous stores at the foot of the TV tower. Just three minutes on foot from the Klostergärten is one of Berlin’s largest shopping malls, the ALEXA.
Facing directly onto Alexanderplatz with stylish understatement is the GALERIA Kaufhof department store. Awaiting customers on six floors is an international array of merchandise representing over 600 exclusive brands, plus an excellent gourmet department.

A little bit further on – all around Hackescher Markt square, in the middle of Berlin’s creative scene – there’s a young, hip crowd bustling about in the many small designer showrooms.
And those who like things to be especially elegant are in turn excellently catered for by Berlin’s most prestigious shopping street, Friedrichstraße: temptingly waiting here are Quartier 206, the Galeries Lafayette and a multitude of international showcase stores for major luxury labels, including Gucci, Armani and Yves Saint Laurent.
